The Rosetta Man – Claire McCague

Originally passed off to me as a text, “Like Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” only, different. In first few pages, I got distinct feel it wasn’t the same genre as that English silliness. Love me my Brit Lit, as no one does absurdist better, but no, not of same vein, at least not in that first 100 pages.

The Rosetta Man

First contact story, either exhaustively researched or terribly well-imagined.

Weird story, with easy, current referents.

The Rosetta Man

Excellent author references, that’s for sure. Impressive “street cred” for an author.

Good science fiction in the old-style vein, but thoroughly updated.
