Amy’s in Smithville

Perfect Sky Friday kind of image – it was after a Capricorn suggested shakes, and I was thinking Amy’s Ice Cream, and across the street, some retail place that advertised espresso and coffee.

Get a double shot of espresso, then drop a small scoop of Amy’s on top, let the two get to know each other. Perfect combination. Reminds me of the good, old days in Austin. Jo’s espresso then a dash across South Congress to the old Schlotsky’s — back when it was possible to just amble across the street.

Amy’s signature Mexican Vanilla ice cream, just a dollop, the serving size is called a “Tiny,” on top of two shots of hand-pulled espresso.

This recalls the time, times, happened on multiple occasions, in the old trailer park in Austin, I would have just such a concoction for a late supper, then, letting the paper coffee cup that formerally held Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream served over a couple of shots of espresso? The next morning, the rich vanilla fragrance would infuse my senses.
