I grabbed a single image from the last time I was at the rock shop in Austin, one that is flattering, but not always great.
BareFoot Astrology
It’s the “store copy” of BareFoot Astrology, kind of battered and beaten. A tattered cover. There’s a copy of my Two-Meat Tuesday there, as well, but that’s basically the source of the nickname, “Sparkle Faerie.” I’d like to think it was either my sparkling personality or sartorial splendor as that’s from whence the name came.
Books are Available
Books are available at Nature’s Treasures in Austin. Pretty much a fun store, and in the summer, I’ve noticed a few parents seem to use it as a way to occupy little kids.
So there’s a lounge-like area, seating for four or more, the big mineral “bible,” Love is in the Earth, assorted books, and right on top, two well-thumbed copies of my own works.
Great place to rest and relax.
Books are Available
There are other books, a sampling of Tarot Cards, and other assorted items. The store does have an extensive “Buddhist” selection, statues, gongs, bowls, bells, and banners.
