The Hanged Man

Simple image from my “go-to” Thoth Deck, The Hanged Man. Reversal of fortune. A situation that is spinning out of control.

Like the image itself suggests, though, there’s a certain finality to a situation being reversed from what it previously was, and that isn’t always negative action, or, one of those situations where, if one keeps going to the left, eventually, it comes out right.

There is a certain kind of light into the darkness that comes from this, and the Hanged Man is sometimes thought of as the Drowned Man.

The Hanged Man

This card is also associated with the element “water,” and as such is a reversal in the situation.

Oh dear, I forgot. Coming soon: Venus Retrograde in Scorpio. The Hanged Man.

Your mileage may vary.
