Samuel Pepys kept diary that was discovered and published, years later.

350 years later?

November 5, 1668

“5TH. Up, and Willet come home in the morning, and God forgive me! I could not conceal my content thereat by smiling, and my wife observed it, but I said nothing, nor she, but away to the Office.”

The historical period of time covered by the diaries, essentially ten years, each day — decade of 1660-70. What Was remarkable was the frank nature of the material, in some cases.

Why more bloggers and online journals haven’t totally embraced his work, I don’t know.
