The Kominsky Method
On Netflix, now. I’m unsure of the critical response, but an aging Michael Douglas and an old Alan Arkin. Plus a roster of celebrities, cameo roles, and bad language.
Old man jokes. Penis jokes. Prostrate jokes.
Binged watched the whole season on a slow Sunday afternoon.
Understand that this material that is not fit for prime time, in plain language? Situations and language, implications and actions, just not fit for regular TV.
It’s a half-hour sitcom with the common confines and restraints removed. The issues are great, how can death and cancer be funny? It is in an acerbic, morbid fashion. Helmed by an old pro, Chuck Lorre, the name is familiar because he’s done several long-running programs, with the half-hour sitcom perfectly tuned and timed for his humors.
Streaming on Netflix now.
