Pokka Pens
Pokka Pens 8 pack. Compact, lightweight, affordable pocket pens. Black. Compare to bullet pens at $20.My discovery is a little backwards, I first saw these on amazon, looking for something else. A package of a half-dozen or so, cost less than a single brand-name bullet-pen, so I thought, sure, I’ll give this a try.
I have one complaint about the Pokka Pen so far. On its website, the designer and entrepreneur who came up with the idea, his introduction is done as a video only. That sucks up eyeballs space, time, annoyance factor as I like quiet, and the ad runs about 6 minutes or something.
The Pokka Pen origin? Slickly done with excellent production values, and explains the idea behind the Pokka Pen, history of design from idea and inception to finished products.
That’s what I’m complaining about? Yeah. That’s all, too. It’s a good deal, got half dozen or so for $20, or thereabouts, see Amazon prime:
Pokka Pens 8 pack.
It’s like crossing a basic Bic pen with a Bullet Space Pen. Turns out, too, they are now refillable, and reusable, but I’d bet they get beat up from use, lost, stolen, or otherwise wander off before I’d use the full amount of ink.
We’ll see what happens. For now, I like it. Tidy little accidental find.
- Wondering if I could turn one of these into a fishing lure or an earring, would that work, as well?
The term “bullet pen” gets bantered about and I had to try hard to find one of my deer-hunting buddies, this is Texas, someone who had some live rounds for comparison. Neighbor, few doors down, and I realize, in light of recent events, maybe in poor taste, but I didn’t name it a bullet pen, and that was just for size comparison.
Then, trying to take the edge off the analogy? I gathered up some toy, plastic “nerf” brand projectiles, leftover from a buddy’s kid. Or one’s a nerf bullet and the other is merely a dart from an off-brand toy dart gun. Not sure it takes the sting out of the analogy.
Well, that’s me, always in poor taste with bad timing when I’m trying to be harmless.
