Recent events prompted a search, quick look, and no, it’s not in Pink Cake, although there is the best HST quote therein, but this was about just what was happening now.

“So now, less than five years later, you can go up on steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right eyes you can almost see the high-water mark — that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.” Page 68.

  • Hunter S. Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. NY: Random House, 1971.

Thinking back, 1971? 5 years earlier? Historical context (it matters).

1966: right in the middle of the important years for this year’s series of astrological events. The “in-between” generation, essentially, 1960-1970, Pluto in Virgo.

Pop that up alongside the quote from Hunter Thompson’s book. Then look at current events.

Whoa.
