Honor

Marcus Aurelius

Honor

“Honor that which is greatest in the world — that on whose business all things are employed and by whom they are governed.
And honor the greatest in yourself: the part that shares its nature with that power. All things — in you as well — are employed about its business and your life is governed by it.”

“Meditations” 5.21

“21. Prize the most excellent thing in the Universe; and this is that which utilizes all things and controls all things. Prize in like manner the most excellent thing in thyself; and this is that which is akin to the other. For this, which utilizes all else is in thee too, and by it thy life is governed.
