Never: A Novel
Popular mythology.
“It was like the charge of witchcraft in the olden days: once the accusation had been leveled, it was easy to find something that looked like evidence.” Page 110.
Yeah, popular mythology, but really fiction, with a female Republican centrist president. That’s popular fiction, a moderate Republican. I mean, I understand the words, but there’s not much evidence in hand to support that, not now.
I got roped in, and by the one-third mark, I was too entrenched to put it down. Couldn’t read it. Couldn’t not read it. Finished late one evening, and it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to.
More modern, and an epic way to look at what is currently happening now. But it is fiction. Good fiction, but one central character was a moderate republican.
Fiction.
