Vengeance

Vengeance

On a whim, without much background, pulled this off of Amazon Prime.

I kept pausing the movie, “Honey, you knew I would do this,” looking and trying to identify locations.

Cursory web search shows it was filmed around Albuquerque and Artesia, NM. I was guessing Van Horn and Sanderson, TX, what it looked like. I would guess Artesia would be about “Five hours from Abeline (TX),” as the line went.

There were a few inside jokes, and unless one is familiar with the idiosyncrasies of the terrain, I suspect it wouldn’t make much sense.

Great movie, but then, that’s the old “Hard New Mexico Line,” as the song goes.

The jurisdictional dispute is almost not funny because it’s too true.

Vengeance

The characters in the movie, though? Those might’ve been characters on the screen, but their counterparts in real life, those people exist, out in West Texas.
