Casual, with almost zero effort expended, I looked, May, 1993? Last time Saturn was in Pisces. Sounds about right. I just grabbed a book off the shelf and looked up the dates. There was still a sticky note there, leftover from back then.
Pisces
There was a blog post from a trusted source, about the release of a new device. Bluetooth, wireless, thinner, smarter, faster. New technology. I glanced, skimmed through the post, interesting, salient points dutifully noted, then I looked the device up. “Works with iPhones and iPads, too!” Great, kind of expected. However, the more I delved, the deeper I went down that rabbit hole? It became a rat’s nest warren of conflicting facts, the deeper I got? The more I realized that I have a device, just like what was offered, and the current one works quite well. Splash of color, a well-placed influencer argument for it, and then? Look more closely. It wasn’t anything that was really revolutionary or new. Better advertising? Sure. Well-placed article, touting its benefits and super craftsmanship? Check. Do I need a new one, especially when the old one works just as good, might not look great, and there’s a chip in the paint from repeated poundings, but no, I kind of like the “broken-in” appearance. Some people pay extra for that “distressed” look. Yeah, what this means for Birthday Pisces? New is good, but is this a gift or is this an item that is really required? The problem with my possible position, and I didn’t buy the device, but the problem with my position versus the Pisces position? You know, birthdays and all, and while it might be a luxury, you do deserve some pleasure in the midst of everything.
Aries
It’s my duty to warn you. Warn you about making bad decisions? Warn you that there is a thin veil of illusion and it only gets worse before it gets better, a thin cover of typical “non-reality” that coats everything like a fine dust. I first noticed the dust, while I was living in southern New Mexico, but I became aware of it more and more, throughout West Texas, and then, in different forms, in my current homes. It’ a thin layer of some particulate matter that shifts down from the sky, and that is what this illusion — very Aries — is about.
That thin layer of dust that seems to land on every flat surface, and even some surfaces that aren’t so flat? It’s mostly an illusion. True, it’s all covered with a thin film of something, but what is that, exactly? Unknown particulate matter that obscures and obfuscates the current correct answer to the Aries dilemma. In short? Maybe not the best time to make that big decision.
Taurus
Hardest part of the missive for this week’s Taurus? Figure out what the real message is supposed to be. There’s a ton of conflicting, and possible injurious information floating freely, and it wants to get attached to the Taurus psyche. The real message is going to be deceptive. Deceptively easy, too, but hard to see in plain sight. Which is part of the problem.
Insert a favorite cliché here, “Can’t see the forest for the trees,” etc.
If you know, like I’ve just made you aware, that you might not be seeing a situation clearly? What’s the best course of action? Verify, get a secondary or even tertiary opinion, and maybe, “Get another set of eyes to look at this, see what I’m missing.”
Gemini
Mars, in Gemini, after prolonged, repeated, and sustained pressure, with a single possible exception, hi baby, there’s a certain kind of hardening. Tempering? Think that’s it, and why I didn’t come up with this analogy earlier? Apparently, I hadn’t seen enough, either. Traditional steel is tempered by heating it to a red, glowing, near-liquid heat, then plunging that into a vat of ice water. The rapid cooling does something to the chemical structure of the metal, making it stronger. I’m not current on my metallurgy to be conversant. However, that’s this week, red-hot, ready to get plunged into the vat of cooling water, but wait! Not yet! Seems like there’s going to an added degree of heat.
Cancer
There’s always the “wholesale approach,” and for the gentle Moon children, the Cancer corner of the charts? That doesn’t work. Looks good on paper, looks like a nifty idea, just wipe the whole slate clean, to mix metaphors, but the wholesale, dump it all out and start over, yet again? That doesn’t work. Takes an element of precision that is sorely lacking. The current astrological configuration for Cancer? The pressure from Aries and so forth? Makes it look like a wholesale dumping of every available Moon Children’s projects is easiest. Just, wholesale, dump them all out. Start fresh. Start over. Start anew, yet again. Here’s my suggestion, gentle Cancer, the sensitive Crab archetype, consider just slicing off the parts that are not functioning, not dumping the whole thing. Consider a more precise and gentle — in keeping with your nature — approach. Precision and certainty in direction, rather than just blindly blundering forward, that is a better way to handle this for the gentle Moon Children.
The Leo
Talked about this, a lot, over the last few months, as the impact became more and more apparent. It’s about management and resources, and how one chooses to allocate those precious Leo assets, and then, how to use those assets. With the Neptune thing going on at the same time? There’s a good chance that the dream-like aura surrounding the Leo-like allocation of those resources is going to be tainted with dreams, desires, and perceived needs that might — or might not — be real. That’s the problem, and the solution. When I find myself in a dream-like state, a meditative condition, or a time when I am unsure of the correct decision? I do nothing. When you have to make a decision about those resources, like, right now? Do nothing.
“Can I get back to you in a few days with my answer?”
Virgo
Hey, nothing a good Virgo likes better than imposing structure on some kind of chaos? Part of what this will be about, imposing some kind of structure on apparent chaos. The simplest version is the tired trope of Virgo cleanliness. However, there’s something to be said for that. A kind of order and structure where there was none before? Think along those lines, about organizing some amorphous mass into a coherent shape. This has to make sense to you. In my first electronic database of names and number, mostly clients and friends? I swapped the first name for the last name because the software only organized by last name, and I only knew most of my friends by first name. Over the years, this is much worse, as I frequently only know people by sign, and even then? I recall chart specifics, not necessarily the sun sign. Take that mess, and figure out how this applies to Virgo. It’s simple, really, just need to organize those names and addresses by most relevant data points — for Virgo. What works these days? In the slot for the second or third e-mail/phone? Usually marked “other?” I tend to put in the sign, there. Come a longways in my 30+ years at this.
Libra
Used to be called, the “Nuts and bolts,” and referred to the machinery that held together the various working parts. Part of what this is about. Part this is about the basics, as well, but stripping away the high-falutin’ language and fancy covering, the packaging? It’s all about the basic bits and pieces, bobs and thingies, the little parts that hold all of this together. It’s the essential parts, and like the popping the hood on a car? This is about the motor, and to some of us, a motor is a beautiful thing, but as a good Libra? There is one exception, hey dude, let’s fish soon, but to the rest? All that stuff under the hood is ugly machinery. Here’s the trick, that’s the stuff that makes everything go, or, to get back to the original idea, that’s what holds it all together. It’s not about the packaging and marketing hype, it’s about what’s under the hood, in one way or another.
Scorpio
Think about something less flashy. Might be the easiest way to understand this kind of energy, think about something a little less flashy. One vaunted Scorpio is all about black. Black jeans, black boots, black T-shirt, black hoodie, black ball cap. Get a distinctive image? Makes an entrance with a certain understated elegance. While it’s a cool image, and certainly in keeping with the Scorpio archetype? That can seem a little over-the-top with the all-black look. Easiest way to downplay that, as I suggested, something less flashy? Consider just a plain grey hoodie. Hide in plain sight? That’s just a thought, and that example is pointed at a single Scorpio, but should be easy enough to extrapolate, and apply individually, as need be. Think about being a little less flashy. No need to attract unwarranted attention to your Scorpio self.
Sagittarius
It’s a bumpy road ahead, as Saturn enters Pisces. One particular Sagittarius will moan that the last three years have been bad, and it can’t stay bad forever. However, history is on my side, and I know what this one is about. I suggested a bumpy few years ahead. I didn’t suggest it was all terrible, horrible, or otherwise unable to survive, that’s not it. It’s about slowing down long enough to assess the Sagittarius route forward. Stopping long enough to pick and choose carefully, which is not always a Sagittarius strength, but one we get to work on. This is about being more circumspect, and listening to the subtle shifts, as the cosmic message is about adjustments, sometimes minor, but simple adjustments to make this a more comfortable ride.
Capricorn
Snicker. Sly snicker is best, but try to do this as sublime as possible, which, given the conditions, isn’t too easy for Capricorn. Try to be delicate, gentle. Make a sincere effort not to get all joyful as this goes down. Or vindictive. Or worse? Joyfully vindictive, and the ubiquitous, “I told you so!” These are temptations, and not one that looks good over time. In the moment? It is ultimately satisfying, but this expression of energy, “I so very told you so!” Over time, that expression of energy doesn’t look good at all. I’m thinking about long-term consequences, and even though, over time, this works out well? In the moment? Gloating does not become you. Well, maybe just a little.
Aquarius
There’s a school of thought that suggests just as soon as Saturn exits Aquarius, that spells out instant relief. I am not of that school of thought. Yes, I want it to be true, and yes, there are those who will feel relief, but the observed phenomena? Takes a while. Yes, Saturn’s gone, but the lingering effects of the visit are still here, and the message is about what should be done. There is still much for Aquarius to accomplish, and being at the halfway point? This is just the start. So, according to some, life suddenly got easier and makes more sense. For others? There is less of a load ahead for Aquarius, but realistically? Those who don’t learn from past mistakes might be doomed to repeat them again. If it hurt before? Might still hurt even though Saturn is moving and shifting signs.
