Re-Aligning Goals, II

Re-Aligning Goals, II

  1. Day
  2. Weeks
  3. Months
  4. Years

It’s an adjustment and makes allowances for a more astrological-based timing.

What suits me.

Re-Aligning Goals, II

  1. Day.
Simple. Set a single target for the day. This is actually an off-shoot of my old Mercury is Retrograde material — single, simple, possibly fungible goal for the day.
  2. Weeks.
A Lunar Phase is about two weeks, from “New” to “Full,” and here’s a way to check back and see if I’m on track towards whatever goal was stated.
  3. Months.
Three months is a bit ambivalent, but that’s about three signs, or Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable iteration. In business? The years are divided into “quarters,” so this hold up well enough.
  4. Years.
The Four-Year mark is different, but looking at a typical Saturn Cycle, the 7-year quarterly turn of Saturn can be further divided into a 3 and-a-half year cycle. Bit micro-manager-ly but it does provide an effective planetary cycle for a cosmic check in.

Breaking this out into finite pieces?

  1. The daily goal is simple, a post, a portion of a horoscope, client call, all sort of depends. I endeavor to have the whole day fit on a single page in a paper journal, and some days, I can squeeze two days onto that page — not a lot of note. Working on this, I have several tasks that I’ve put off until Mercury is no longer heinously retrograde, but not a big deal. Just tasks. Goals, targets, personal milestones, and day-to-day trivium.
  2. The two-week goal is different as it’s more along the lines of a month-long project. Not something that will happen overnight, but set in place a the new moon, then the two week point? Full moon, and beyond to the next new moon? Check-in, check-up, and clean-up, re-adjust. Refine that goal.
  3. How is the year, and for that matter, this quarter going?
  4. The four-year mark, and this plays well into what Ive got happening, even now.

Still in process, but 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 might be easier to grapple with.

I realized, as well, I do tend to track whatever writing project I’m working on in this format, just a daily note, as can be, conditions and such. I suppose, that’s a whole different angle.
