Saturn Oppositions
From the book:
Transit SATURN opposed natal Moon
The Moon is frequently associated with the Mother, or a similar matronly influence. What Saturn does, during this opposition to that strong female influence in a natal chart is create what feels like distance. The constraints levied by Saturn are all about getting comfortable with that possible distance. Emotional distance, a certain pervasive doom and gloom outlook, and grasping at the finer points of some relationships, the two energies are not entirely compatible, but the successful understanding leads to a greater measure of stability as the influence moves forward. Understanding the underpinnings of the male/female relationship is part of what this about, being willing to legitimately work through it the process is the deeper meaning.
From the book:
Transit SATURN opposed natal Mars
Saturn tends to hinder the Mars motions. Folks, people, places, situation, things keep getting in the way of a preferred — or what one might think is a preferred — direction. The best use is to work through the cause of the frustration and anger, not letting the emotions caused by the seeming frustration of impeded progress. Single, apparently easy-to-obtain goals, small steps that require patient and focused attention, a sustained effort is better than trying to force issues that don’t want to be forced. Attempting to impose a will on a situation that doesn’t want to fit, like the ubiquitous “square peg in around hole,” coercion tends to be met with greater resistance — thanks to Saturn’s obdurate essence. The other piece that gets here, allies might not be readily available. This is lonely transit.
