Dark Angel

Dark Angel

Another Davenport’s daughter’s novel, follow up to The Investigator. Early in the novel, and I think this might be a rerun of material from the author’s copious canon of work, but there was brief bit about everyone is little of this and little of that, not totally psycho, but not totally straight. Fits. Wonderful and evocative.

As much as I get caught up the action of the novel, there is always that author’s flesh, and the way the characters are fulfilled, tiniest details, the description, and the bits that are picked to fill in the minutiae. Intricate images against a fast-moving background.

One would suppose, I had it checked out of the library for all of four days.

With an Austin stop in the middle?

Fun book, well-executed. A worthy continuation to Davenport. But wait, there’s another Prey in the works.
