Xmas Lights

The economy has tanked, the world is a mess, and we’re headed to hell in a bucket.

However some traditions must go on. A recent tour down Austin’s 37th Street proved that insanity and madness is still there. In a good way.

The most fetching image and its point about the limits of the hardware – I was using my iPhone – but the images didn’t turn out as well as I hoped . There was one, the final frame, a 20-year old Ford truck. Not dead, but not alive. Ever see the wire-frame deers? Or better yet, the wire-frame deers with lights and the bobbing head? One of those was stuffed into the front seat of the truck, and the deer? Its little wire-frame and lights, the paws were on the truck’s steering wheels. All lit up.

Maybe Austin really is weird.

Weirder.

Weird. My kind of town. If I ever leave southern CA, I’m seriously going to consider Austin. What’s the weather like in the summer?

Got two seasons: summer and Easy Bake.

Summer’s hot, but it’s a wet heat, you know?
