Yes, there is a town named for a variety radio program. Not exactly a deal with the devil, but close, in some minds.
The vernacular is pronounced “T-r-C,” emphasis should be obvious. When I first noticed a sign like that, I was amused as it caught the spoken language well, the subtle nuance between audio and visual language.
On the way out of town, Truth or Consequences (T or C), just before the interstate entrance ramp, there it was, the perfect Ruby Tuesday emblem.

I hang out in T or C, mostly in Winter. Kind of a snowbird thiong for me since I hail from Wisconsin. I love the Riverbend and the black cat coffee and book shop.
