ASARCO was American Smelting and Refining Company, based, I think in El Paso.
In its era, there was a horrible, quite possibly toxic, cloud that hung from the heavens, courtesy of the old ASARCO stack.
ASARCO in perpetuity, and beyond, with a final, parting shot.
I’d wonder about it, but apparently, it wasn’t locally popular, too much bad air.
