Media Bias

Media Bias

Follow along, carefully, unlike so many of my “contemporaries,” I make no claims to be totally objective. While I rarely acknowledge pertinent details in my chart, I do openly admit to being an 11/28 Sagitttarius. Sure.

That’s not a myth.

However, anything else, is subject to question. Still, In my mateial, I’ve been quite open about my biascf. Barefoot Astrology, et al.

In Austin, last weekend, rain, motorsports, and football were constant background noise. Somebody won, somebody lost, and the rain quit falling, eventually.

Me? I had a strong weekend, but I tend to be busy in Austin, as I’ve been at this for a long time, and Austin is home turf.

A news item caused a minor sensation, and giggles amongst the girls. Most of my immediate Austin Sisters are die-hard UT Austin Burnt Ornage fans. Although the term “fan” doesn’t convey the proper level of excitement and ardor.

The headlines, the news, and the sound bite?

“Longhorns on a two-game winning streak!”

This is Texas Sports. Hyperbole is a huge factor. I’m not exaggerating – local sports and especially the University of Texas Football, always a big deal.

If it wasn’t bantered about as often, in an 18-hour news cycle, I wouldn’t have noticed. Any other team? Win two games in a row? That’s two games in the win category. That’s all.

Full Moon Time in Scorpio! (Moon in Taurus).

“Longhorns on a two-game winning streak!”

Go Horns. Just, I’m thinking, is this local Media Bias?
