We suffer from a surfeit of experience.

If miles and scars count for our experience —

Comment was prompted by one aging reader looking at another, comparing notes.

“How many fair have you done in El Paso? Over hundred, right?”

I paused, as I never like to delve into hyperbole, but give it pause, 4 or 5 times a year for a quarter century? That adds up to well over a 100, so no, not really any exaggeration.

Not that I don’t employ hyperbole or irony other situations.
