March Eclipse Season
These late eclipses in the sun and moon portend no good to us. Though the wisdom of nature can reason it thus and thus, yet nature finds itself scourg’d by the sequent effects. Love cools, friendship falls off, brothers divide: in cities, mutinies; in countries, discord; in palaces, treason; and the bond crack’d ’twixt son and father. This villain of mine comes under the prediction; there’s son against father: the King falls from bias of nature; there’s father against child. We have seen the best of our time. Machinations, hollowness, treachery, and all ruinous disorders follow us disquietly to our graves.
- Gloucester in Shakespeare’s King Lear (I.ii.57)
The dates? March 8 and March 23, Pisces then Aries/Libra.
What it means? With Neptune currently in residency within Pisces, there’s a strong – important – spiritual connection. Recent political events with the rise of the evangelical right points out a crying need for some “spiritual” connection within our world.
My simplistic solution is meditation. I went so so far as to write up some pointers.
The trick with this Pisces super-new-moon-slash-eclipse? Try. Seek. Explore. Don’t get married to either the process or results, not yet.
This eclipse season, while it doesn’t portend badly, it is highly unstable for an extended period.
Me? I am a mutable sign. I can adapt. In my Petri dish of an astrological workshop, I’ll be tinkering with a number of possible solutions, challenges, and answers to the questions.
With that in mind, the second part of this eclipse cycle takes place at the very beginning – and ending – of Aries/Libra. As such, this second part is about relationships, but the almost comic – to me – part plays out like this:
“I got this, no I don’t need any help, I got this one!”
“You sure? I can help.”
“No! I got this!”
(Crash. Boom. Thud. Resounding failure.)
“Sure you don’t want some help?”
“No! I got this!”
“Sure I can’t help just a little?”
“No! I got this!”
(Epic fail.)
“Now do you need some help?”
The two-fold, cross-elemental lines, boundary-breaking nature of the March 2016 Eclipse Cycle plays out with a huge amount of useful data, but still, highly unstable energies.
This isn’t a bad time, no, but there’s a certain degree of caution, leavened with that exuberance we all require.
