I couldn’t help but think some about something the shuttle driver said when I was leaving El Paso, catching a lift to the airport. He asked me how my trip was, what I thought of El Paso.
“I love El Paso,” I affirmed, and then I slipped in a comment for him and his disgruntled look, “of course, I don’t live here.”
“Yeah, you live here only if you have poor navigation skills,” he said.
While I may not completely agree with him, I do live where I want to live, in the nicest neighborhood, in the nicest town, in the nicest state. And one of things I love best about what I do is that I get to travel this state. And yes, I do love visiting the little towns, the strange places and seeing what all is around. Best of all, though, is the people. Even if they do have, according to the driver, “poor navigation skills.”
