Macro Thistle

Limits of hardware…

Hardware: iPhone
Software: iPhoto
Location: East Austin, TX

Persistence:
Persistence pays off – took three or four tries, it was just a weed with the prettiest little purple flower on top. I kept trying under various lights and times of the day, but the close-up didn’t seem to work. This is the last image, the second to last shot, and I erased the images before I processed them. Turns out that the second to last worked best. Minimal processing in iPhoto, just a crop and edge blur. Not bad for a phone camera.

I know what you mean about persistence! There are times I have deleted far more than five shots in order to get one or two that work! But I am so glad you persisted! Thistles are a lovely colour!!! I love the oak leaves in the background, too!
