An explanation? Like maybe I’m the reincarnation of a Russian peasant, having been formerly an incarnation of Shakespeare, and I’m presently engaged in spirit writing. Would that be sufficien explanation?
How about, instead, something like a Giant Talking Head pursued me into the night until I sat down and wrote my book that I had been thinking about for ages but procrastinated in writing down.
Or the Great Spirit infused my being with light and lo and behold the words were engraved in stone upon my awakening.
What kind of explanation did they want? What did you tell them? Something much more mundane, one would hope.
