Bacon Candy

Bacon Candy

It’s called Bacon Candy, and that’s as apt a name as any.

Had it first a few years ago, at place that is almost a dive, but then, maybe not. Another aggressively casual joint I prefer.

It’s hot and cold, bacony-goodness with a touch of something else.

The easiest recipe I found?

1 cup of loose packed dark brown sugar
Teaspoon of cayenne powder
1 pound of thin-sliced bacon

Their instructions were to combine pepper and sugar, coat one side of the bacon strips then back on a broiling pan until done.

I’d prefer a little less cayenne, and a much thicker cut of bacon.
