I can see for miles and miles

While I think the tune probably goes back to Bob Wills and the Texas Doughboys or the Texas Playboys, depends on the era and the corporate sponsor, but think that’s the source of the original tune.

I heard it first on stage from Austin’s Asleep at the Wheel, Ray Benson’s booming lyrical voice, “I’ve seen miles and miles of Texas…”

“I’ve seen miles and miles of Texas…”

Still echoes on summer’s reflections like this.
