Charities

Charities

There’s really only one charity I’m positively adamant about:

Support your local library.

Breaks down into two libraries for me.

  1. San Antonio Public Library
  2. Bexar BiblioTech
  3. Your local public library

There many different ways to support your local public library. Perhaps the best way is checking out digital books. No mess, no fuss, plenty to read, and best of all? No worries about late returns. No fines, no problems.

I vacillate on the library software. In the last year, I read mostly with SAPL —> Libby —> Kindle iPad Reader. However as my amazon algorithm suggestion leaned more towards the plethora of library “books,” digital imprints, I was less fond of amazon tracking my reading habits.

That means back to cloudLibrary, and its current iteration, which, in my mind, is far superior to what it was before, and although it doesn’t include full (endless) scroll for reading, the incremental updates are well-worth it. Reads better. Not quite as a nice as Apple i-Books, but I’ll take it.
