Big Swiss

Big Swiss

The title refers to a character in the book, and the story is post-modern fiction. There are poignant yet amusing — at least to me — shots at various generations, sort of like, “OK Millennial,” and I hope that becomes a thing.

I’m not sure what it is, though, humorous, without being laugh-out-loud funny, and traversing lines that question sexuality and in the same breath, point to exigent situations, even a problem now.

Political without being political?

Which in the event it isn’t clear, is why the world needs art.

The setting is a small town, the protagonist is Gen X who transcribes a local therapist’s sessions, and thus we all get to know everyone’s dirty little secrets.

The title is a character who lives in town, and is from Switzerland, and obviously, a Swiss maid, in all the usual ways — like — right off a hot chocolate commercial.

Big Swiss

Same author — didn’t figure that out, at first, but great voice.
