Trying to remember a place called “Dos Amigos,” but in Odessa (TX), it was just tagged “Dose.”

“Dose” was OG recommendations. Dos Amigos food truck was a subreddit thread about the Santa Fe Fuegos baseball park food.

Think it might’ve been wise to eat before the game. A 1947, not really updated, minor league ball park. Fun.

I went to see the Roswell Invaders and look for merch. No visiting team merch. Too bad. Santa Fe Fuegos were respectable, but lost, and with wind whipping down the mountains, I was getting cold.

Would I go back? Yes, great fun. The pitcher had ten strikeouts and the front office passed a hat for donations.

“Do our know what Zozobra is?”

In passing, it’s a burning of an effigy, end of summer?

“It was a secular fall festival, started by the artists and writers, the poets and painters, to counter the Catholic Church’s events. All your regrets and sorrows are stuffed into the figure then burned at night.”

Looming over Left Field, there’s a T-Cross, where Zozobra is built for the toast. Roast. Fire?
