May Day (Murder by Month Mystery)

First in series? Kind of dated, and sort of breathless, first person narration. Murder-mystery, but it isn’t the second afterward that it makes prefect sense. Part of the free-on-amazon thing, but as an introduction to the aurora, and example of why early works are so vibrant?

Good as a stop-gap answer to getting back to Minnesota, waiting on a new Virgil Flowers novel.

Frankly, that’s the only exposure I’ve got, and the author’s own backstory is equally evocative.
