New iPad addendum
One of my buddies, she swears, and I mean swears by her Kindle (reader) thing. Ultralight, backlit, holds a charge for days? Super-convenient for reading, doctor’s office, airplanes, and similar venues.
It’s a device designed solely as a reader, but links to libraries, etc. Think she gets the kindle unlimited package. I’m too cheap for that.
I tried the Apple iPad 12.9-inch model, had a first edition, and it was too unwieldy, too uncomfortable for just reading. But the new 11-inch iPad Pro?

While not quite as compact as that original Kindle thing? Until I wrap a heavier case around it? The new one scores big on light weight.

Traveling and working with the new unit brings up a terrible conundrum in my mind, too. I like the minimalist shell casing, that offers a modicum of protection, but I also long to have that leather feeling, like a leather folio, but then, that adds weight.
Either way? It’s a it improvement over previous models.
