Faidley’s Crab Balls. As an answer to crab mac’n’cheese hot dog.

Orioles versus the Nats

Walked to the inner harbor, then over to Lexington Market, got some crab balls.

Later, at the ball park? It was “Shaved rib-eye hotdog.” What it was? A thinly sliced, well-done rib-eye slice on top of an open-face hotdog. Didn’t finish it before the national anthem, but it was tasty. Interesting. Wouldn’t do it again, but we were running late, and I had to have a hotdog.

It was good. Certainly different.

As far as outdoor venues go, especially as a ballpark, the revamped Camden Yard is nice. I wouldn’t know it was redone, but looking it up one time, I discovered the area had been extensively remodeled.

“Birdland.”

The Orioles won. The stand-out Nats players didn’t do as well, second night around.

Better cheap seats.

The Dunkin Donuts, pretty close, another literary treat, corn muffins.

Orioles rock star fans? Joan Jett? Ice Cube?

Think: all of this started because I read some thriller fiction set in Boston, which gave way to books set mostly in Baltimore.

There are two outstanding players for the Nats, at least, for me. C.J. Abram’s, and Woods. Both came over in a trade deal, I don’t follow, but the first night, watching both of them shimmy after base hits, and then, stealing bases, catching balls, fielding, just great fun. On the big screen, on of them looks like he’s all of fourteen years old. Players worth watching.

Still like the Orioles, better. Storied franchise, great ballpark. Delicious food.
