Big Trouble
Previous notation 1/11/2001. Looks like a September, 1999 original imprint, and I must’ve had in my hand, at one time the hardback.
I rescued the reading copy out of the “to be surrendered” stack of books, books that either find new homes at a used book store or library sales via donation. Either way, trim the shelves a little.
I wanted a “disposable” text for the long flights out, and the possible downtime in Baltimore. Given the current conditions of air travel? Given planetary positions and motions? Expectations were quite low. Carry a book to read.
Big Trouble
Here’s the problem, I read this book, at least once, within (days weeks months) of publication. I didn’t recall particular plot elements, but as a whole? I still giggled at some of the jokes, and marveled at the turn of a phrase.
Fun to reread, and apparently, I didn’t recall the conclusion, and the ultimate unraveling.
Of course, it is fiction by newspaper writer, it is fiction, isn’t it?
Perfect airplane reading.
Big Trouble
Given our current political climate? Still satirically poignant.
Still working with Retrograde Mercury rites and rituals.
