I’m not a fan of the actor Vince Vaughn. Not a hater, just never really felt like his material aligned with me. That noted? he was so pitch-perfect, so totally on the mark, and his delivery seemed effortless.
I’ve been a long-time fan of the author’s work, the book this was based upon, and I still couldn’t remember the final outcome. To the best of my recollection, it followed the book fairly close.
The pacing, the delivery, the almost-manic panic of the main character, the only difference? I thought he smoked pot in the book. I’m too lazy to go and look that up at this moment.
