Empty Cayenne

Empty Cayenne

From online recipes, not cookbook astrology, but various locations, and sources? Maybe a cooking show or two? The secret to blackening seemed to be garlic powder, cayenne, and salt. Burn it in the bottom of the pan, wait until the grease and seasonings smoke, then turn down the flame.

Not saying this is the actual way to do it, and I’m not close enough to Louisiana or Creole Country to count.

I am not a cook. I’m not a chef. I just do what I like.

Empty Cayenne

The joke was something along the lines of “You’ll never see an empty cayenne bottle.”

What was fun, for me? I started this journey a few months back, maybe six months ago. Most of my meals are avocado oil, with veggies and rice, maybe a small portion of chicken, sometimes bacon bits for sodium and grease.

Finally saw an empty cayenne powder shaker.
