Pursuant to long-term thinking, and planning? I signed up for a “lifetime” web hosting package. While familiar with the limits of the hardware, the package seemed almost too good to be true. Turns out it was, as there was a notice that cycled through, last August, about the deal going away, no more “lifetime” services. I understand, as it was built on an ever-expanding idea, and while it could work? Often it requires frequent updates, adjustments, and current multi-media practices to stay afloat.
Having looked at similar reseller situations myself, the investment of time doesn’t suggest there’s real profit.
Unlike the green version of the term, when I think of “sustainable,” I think about me being able to provide a steady output of content. What I want is permanent placeholder online, and with an easy-to-update blog-style motor attached. Periodically, I review current “best practices,” trying to stay up-to-date.

The blog-motor, the idea is a website builder, easily accessible via just a web browser interface? That’s the clue. My reasoning reaches further back than I’d like to recount, but it has to do with being someplace where the only access is via a web browser, and I would like to still be able to interact with the site.
Simple enough.
