To Die For
Wry observation from a novelist’s eye?
“She walked off, exaggerating the swing of her hips and buttocks, he thought, but maybe she always moved that way. Some women he had met in the past did. And his encounters with all of them had ended badly.” Page 132.
But oh so true.
However, in context, the meaning might be different as this is a thriller. But the sentiment remains, and we do fall for that sway, every one of us.
Brief dialogue?
“So what now?”
“We will finish this mission, together. And then I am tendering my resignation. I’m done playing the bullshit games. And I’m too old and I have too much damn dignity to wrestle with pigs in the mud.” Page 260.
“Too old and I have too much dignity to wrestle with pigs in the mud.”
Wished I learned that earlier.
To Die For
Much fun. Thinking thriller.
