Natal Pluto v. Pluto in Aquarius Act 3

Natal Pluto v. Pluto in Aquarius Act 3

“I know the answer, but I don’t know what it means.”

There’s a few previous parts to this, but as a whole, there’s a generational way to approach some of what’s up ahead, and in part, this points to the problems with modern culture with our instant answers, but no context for meaning.

Natal Pluto in Scorpio roughly 1983-1995

Pluto entered Scorpio in November of 1983, almost 1984. Pluto didn’t really shift until around November of 1995. Natal Pluto in Scorpio encompasses the “Mid-term Millennials,” and that special subset, the Harmonic Convergence Millennials.

Pluto — by transit — is a great agent of change. Due to its elliptical orbit’s nature, this transit occurs at different times for different generations, as early as 35 and as late as mid-40s. In the older texts, this was termed a “Mid–life crisis.” Invoking the term “crisis” makes it a traumatic event, and that doesn’t have to be the way to effectively deal with the present energies as Pluto forces issues to the surface. More than just an awakening, it is cosmic time to pause and assess directions. For some, this occurs before another transit that promises enlightenment, and for others — depends on generations — it occurs after the spark of enlightenment. Frequently, what the “Pluto Square Pluto” does is serve as a test and check. There’s an essence that occurs in this time, some sense of new directions, and old goals, possibly abandoning the previous desires. There is also a time in a person’s life to spend more time with the spiritual, the religious, or the metaphysical, or, all three. Depends. What Pluto does, creating a sharp angle to its natal position? This is a time when certain energies come crashing into each other, and frequently leaves the person with a sense of being stuck or frozen. Previously, I’ve used the allusion to a “Deer in the headlights,” as that is such a common image in central Texas, but some politician ruined that expression. Socially, politically, emotionally, there are great changes as each aspect of life comes under close scrutiny — this is a transition period that can last for up to a year or more, with the erratic nature of Pluto’s orbit playing a bigger part of this. It serves as a trigger for personal growth through evaluation, and it also serves as a time when unwanted — unwarranted — resources in life can be released. Or ripped from one’s grasp, again, depends on the approach taken to assessing what can be changed. Page 226

Occurrence varies widely from generation to generation due to the elliptical nature of Pluto’s orbit, but in some sense, this is “power step” forward as other other transits slow one down. There’s a sense removing items — or people — from one’s life because those items — or people — no longer serve a higher good. There is an increase in personal charisma, deep-seated magnetism, but like all Plutonic energies, this must be marshaled wisely. Page 216.

As this is more like a generation-at-a-time type of transit, there’s still, as Pluto gets to the exact degree, a sense of power combined with an ability to break free from material that no longer serves a purpose. Can be beliefs, can be material possessions, or, it can be people. There is sense of quiet, accomplished growth along a specified route, like a vine crawling up a trellis. There’s also the chance of heightened charisma, personal charm, along with increased stamina and stronger will power. Page 220.

Pluto into Aquarius The quincunx, not covered in a basic text like mine, it’s an odd angle. It’s 150°, and the symbol suggests the best definition, it’s a square, or a right angle, pointed up, looks like a rooftop with a flat beam across the top. It’s about balance. Effective balance and that is the point. If something is out of whack? Then it toters on that balance point, the symbolism of the two planets bearing the weight of the meaning, swinging between the natal planet’s placement and the transiting Pluto. Pluto against Pluto? The domain of the underworld, the subconscious, and the cosmic against the real life desires.

Personally, I’ve never seen this happen — but there was a time — it was close. I was working in West Texas, and the person who came to me for a reading was born in the early teens, 1900’s. The chart had a late degree Natal Pluto in Gemini. Pluto had just entered Sagittarius — gives a definite date range to the time of the event and the client’s age. So saying, “This isn’t likely in our lifetimes,” it’s not entirely true. While I don’t know, not for sure, with Pluto’s elliptical orbit? I suspect this is about assessing goals, and getting realigned with destiny. Page 230
