Art not without ambition, but without
The illness should attend it.”

The Leo
Lady MacBeth, Shakespeare’s character, she plays on what the oracle suggested to her husband, that he could be king. Not without some misunderstandings, and not without trials, tribulations, murder, and mayhem along the way, no, not without some troubles. With Mercury in apparent retrograde motion in your sign? As the magnificent and magnanimous Leo? Realize that someone is probably feeding you valid information, but in your own mind, thanks to Mercury, it’s possible to get the information mixed up. Careful about reaching for some goal that might not really be in the best interest of your extra fine Leo self. The opening quote covers these ideas, as only a true Shakespeare character might. Elevates The Leo’s struggle.
Virgo
The astrological glyph for perfect Virgo looks, to an untrained eye, like a stylized letter “M.” The alliteration of Mars and Mercury are the driving elements in Virgo. The problem driving this, Mars is pushing forward at the tail end of Virgo, whereas Mercury is in apparent retrograde motion in the sign that precedes gentle Virgo, the Leo.
I can explain the influences, but I can’t understand it for you. Mars is pushing — hard — for action. Mercury is in the Virgo Solar 12th House — exacerbating confusion and illusion. Reality is not to be trusted. Best course of Mars-driven action? Go ahead but realize it might be an epic mistake, but only through failure can we learn what’s best. What’s worse than being wrong? Not doing anything.
Libra
It was a first in Spring Training, a little while back, at the Scottsdale Stadium — when a foul ball arced over the stadium. The organist played the sound of breaking glass, then a sound effect of a car alarm. It was funny. But in a minor league park in New Mexico? Pecos League? It was better, the foul ball arched over head, might very well have hit car, but the organist played the sound of broken glass, followed by “Foul Balls are sponsored by discount auto glass.” Instead of once, though, every ball that flew over the backstop was met with the announcement. It’s a kind of in situ marketing, humor, and makes a point, in an entertaining way. The difference was the minor league park played it every time whereas the major league, not so much. There’s a lesson for lovely Libra in here, about what amuses, entertains, and educates. Or, at the very least, gives a warning, a quick “heads up” to let us know there’s a foul ball in play.
Scorpio
I recently read an interesting suggestion. “Maybe black cats aren’t unlucky; maybe they walk in front of us to keep us from going that way.” So the notion of a black cat crossing our path — and I know a Scorpio or two who would pause and track backwards just to avoid crossing the black cat’s path, so there might be some validity to the idea. Likewise, maybe Mercury’s errant path is helping a Scorpio or two who need to pause, slow down reassess, and possibly review, revise, and re-edit the existing material, or, even better? Like that “not crossing a black cat’s path?” Maybe a new direction is worth looking into. “I looked it over a third time and realized I had a typo; that would’ve been disastrous.”
Sagittarius
There was an old Feng Shui trick, about buying new wallet to help guarantee some kind of financial stability in one’s future. Towards that end, this next week, the idea is about something like that. Not necessarily buying a new wallet — or a new purse — no, that’s not it. But the idea of taking existing resources, and folding them over, not spending them, but finding a way to make it look better? That would be the direction; It’s not like everything is functioning in perfect order, but there is a way to help straighten out some of the Sagittarius resources, like available cash deposits, and make it look better. Left over from retail days? I have a bad habit of facing all my bills, that is, taking all the cash, and facing the bills all in the same direction. Not really needed, but as leftover habit from the time spent working retail? It’s one that I still observe. For me, it’s calming and structured, plus I can get an accurate count as done by myself. It’s about making existing resources “pretty.”
Capricorn
There’s a little comic punctuation that arrives, in the form Miss Venus. She’s in Cancer, opposite from Capricorn, but who’s counting? It’s about the punctuation. I was taught, by esteemed novelists and other writers, that punctuation should be used sparingly. The over-use of ellipses, exclamation marks, and commas, other than an Oxford Comma? Careful. Use sparingly. I was taught to think, in my own terms, as punctuation was like a hot pepper, a spice I use with alarming frequency. But like salt? It doesn’t take much to accentuate the flavors, and punctuation, like that spice rack, doesn’t take much, and Venus? In Cancer? Opposite from good Capricorn? Venus approaching Jupiter? Go easy on with the punctuation. Go easy on with the way you tend to want to emphasize a point. Not too bold, nor italicized, or even left hanging hanging with an ellipse…
Aquarius
While, I think, it started as a joke? The image is a flying saucer showing up to take some of us back to our original home planet. Might’ve started as a joke, but in these days? Is it such a bad idea? I’ve often thought, just as a way to amuse or irritate my neighbors? Stringing some Xmas lights up on the roof, spelling out, “UFO Land Here.” At some point, next few days, your Aquarius selves will want to do just that. OK, so it might not be a UFO that you implore to take you away, but there is some kind of divine, heavenly desire to help lift you above the masses, at the moment. What to do? String of Xmas lights, roof, spell out a message.
Pisces
I started pulling on a thread, an astrological stray bit of fiber, and as I worried it back and forth? There’s a partial idea that began to emerge. Look at the play I use for this week’s introduction, not the only place the theme shows up, but the main character gets it into his head that he should be king. Madness, mistaken oracles, murder, and mayhem. Sword fights. All there, riveting yarn itself, but the original idea I was toying with? It’s a character who gets a notion in his head, and from that the rest of the tale unravels. It’s pulling on that single, stray fiber that matters. Therein is also the Pisces problem: getting stuck with only one interpretation.
Aries
The persistence of the illusion is what amazes me. Not that I am any kind of example, myself, no, not that. But the persistence of the illusion is the inherent problem. I’ve watched this unfold, and I watched as two similar structures reacted very differently. One personality, to me, the two people were nearly identical despite outward appearances, and the one gave into the fantasy, pursued it, then finally realized that it was just that, a fantasy, and not a real-world kind of experience. Flip it around the second never paused, and pursued that fantasy unto the ends of the earth, almost literally. The persistence of the illusion is powerful. That much? I’ll acknowledge. What it means, how this plays out, what the future holds? That’s different. I got up this morning thinking about that persistence of the illusion, and what it means, and how this plays out. Can be good. Can be wonderful. Can leads us into a new life full of joy. Can also be treacherous, in that the point of the illusion is misunderstood. Up to you, Aries, up to you.
Taurus
It’s an abstraction, which means, in real life, it might — or might not — exist. Thus, when plotting a very Taurus way forward? I was dealing with an abstraction, and then, moving forward from that? It’s all “hypothetical.” Which means, we’re drawing from what might be fact, and fact-based, or it might be pure conjecture. Have to be aware of the “pure conjecture” notion. A tale spun up out of the fabric on non-reality, while it doesn’t bother me? I also don’t put much stock in what is said. I take it under advisement, and I add it to the pile listed as “for your consideration.” None of this is engraved. It’s not etched in stone. It’s not written in a permanent marker that can’t be erased or changed. Be aware that some events, some “facts” will appear to be implacable, and unchangeable. Realize, dear Taurus, this might, or might not, be the case.
Gemini
Poking around, as is my wont, I happened across an old sketch of mine, an idea for UX — User Interface Design. It’s a dated idea, and there are some that are even older. This is about structure in Gemini-land. It’s not about what is stacked up, but how that is stacked up. It’s not what is in the book, but how the books are sorted, then put on shelves, and made available. What I notice, over the decades online? The established “newspaper model” fits easiest. Headlines, bullet points, column-style, less distracting elements. There’s also an “ease of readability” that is function of type size, font selections, line height, and widths. All plays into this. All plays into this week. All toys with Gemini, too. Then too, how much is consumed on a phone, phone-like device as opposed to the original elements, when I was working with a full-width computer screen. Elements, and for Gemini? I know you don’t want to hear this, but less is more. Less crap. Fewer bells, whistles, and buzzers. No “throbbies,” either, fun as that might be. (“Throbbies” were an early website animation where a hotlink or button would change size and shape when a mouse rolled over it, hence the term, “throbbie,” as it looked like the buttons were pulsating.)
Cancer
I don’t make house calls. Gone are the days when I would work from six in the morning until after eleven at night, a full 18-hour day. Then, too, I don’t make house calls. Another point, sometimes, missed, I don’t provide a ride-share service. I am available for phone consultations, but even those? I tend to suggest that they are paid in advance. It’s a very simple, straightforward arrangement. Keeps those expectations in check. With Venus entering, and Jupiter in residence? There are some expectations, and I was delineating my own parameters as an example of what is clearly understood. Look: early in my career, in my youth, I was willing to work overnight shifts. But time, age, and other requirements make it such that I just can’t function at that level, not any more. The planets push for more, and this is about staying within the established parameters that your Moon Child, Cancer self understands.
