Clown Town (Slough House Book 9)

There is a foreboding darkness and grit, like the old London soot, just gets in and gets under everything. Deeply atmospheric, in video format, Gary Oldman has rendered the character to near perfection. Like a scene where it feels like the color is washed out. Not quite black and white, but certainly more nuanced greyscale.

There’s something about it, and I was thinking, two-thirds through, it was a similar plot to a previous novel, but there’s a satisfactory twist at the end.

Never underestimate spooks (spies). Even the rejects.
