Some say the original Council of Nicaea declared Die Hardthe Xmas Movie in 325 AD. Records are not complete. However, Die Hard wasn’t really the Xmas Movie until Constantine aligned the movie with the pagan Sol Invictus December 25 date in 336 AD, according to academic sources.
A third source suggests it wasn’t really ratified as the Xmas Movie until it was added at the second ecumenical council decades later, in A.D. 381.
