Revenge Prey

Revenge Prey

To me, it’s not that we got another Lucas Davenport thriller, no, that’s not it. I started this series alongside the pandemic and read most of the novels in a single sitting, over a period of weeks, maybe a month or two. Library books, very worthwhile.

In one of the books, the character Lucas Davenport was reading a Mick Herron thriller, one of the Slow Horses series.

So with that as an introduction, what I expect from Lucas Davenport and his author? Tight, action-packed, maybe a slightly Byronic figure as a central protagonist, maybe tread the line between hero and anti-hero?

Sure, there is that. But social commentary, between the Ines, and a possible view of how the world really works?

Revenge Prey

Good book, fits within the series, and atmospheric, and special nod to other authors. That’s a nice touch.

Slow Horses, the TV show, gets a mention.
