Let Go

Let Go

Typical question, and while not, strictly speaking the auspices of my astrology, it is a most common question. Then, to take this a step further, the question is frequently about “Letting go,” or how to let go of a previous injury.

One of the frequent memes, there’s a Buddha-like figure, inscribed with, “You got to let that shit go, homie.”

When I’ve reposted that image, it gets saluted. A lot. Strikes a chord, maybe?

Let Go

After dozens of workshops, lectures, and inward meditation, I found one path that seemed to work to actively address How to Let Go of an emotional burden that no longer served a purpose.

People, situations, obstacles placed in the pathway?

Is there a simple process?

After gratefully purloining this system – full disclosure – it’s not original. After swiping the rudiments, the book itself has all the necessary keys to make the simple manta work.

I teach this to clients. I work with a number of people with this system, and I give full credit, taking none of my own. As a methodology, though, it works. Sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly, but so far? Never failed.

There are a variety elements that play into the system. I tend to treat it like a mantra, repeat as often as need be to get from here to there.

  1. I love you
  2. I’m sorry
  3. Please forigve me
  4. Thank you.

The “trick,” such as it is, the secret ingredient? The item labeled #4, the “Thank you” at the end. That adds a needed peice of punctuation. Adds what’s required to bring the cycle full circle, which, after all, is what this is all about.
