I used to mail postcards as a marketing tool. Just a simple postcard, back when postage was much less expensive, and it was easier to print, label, and mail, a simple card. My mailing list was in the hundreds, not really a big list, and one that I was happy with, as it means I’m not too busy, but the length is manageable enough for a single practitioner like myself. I could recite details about most of the peoples’ charts on the list, just as a small brag.

Can’t remember a name, but know the details of the astrology chart. Huh.

My favorite example of this, though was mailing the stack of postcards when I was halfway from here to there, trying to hit it at the exact time when it was best. I think I was on the high road to Taos, or some other mythic spot in magical Northern New Mexico, but I wanted the cards dropped in the mail when the Moon was exactly at a certain point, then, too, the postmark from some weird New Mexico place, that was a bonus.

Guess I should have a Roswell postmark, too.

Maybe not the same gravitas, but certainly adheres to my sense of whimsy.

What time is a good time for me?

The postcards, and when to mail? As a purely symbolic act, still, with — at the time — a remarkable success rate? I liked being able to fine tune, and pick the perfect time to drop them in the mail. Moon? Not Void-of-Course. Mercury, Mars, Venus, not retrograde. Maybe Saturn not square Uranus, too, or other, possibly debilitating influences.

So when is a good day?

All depends.

If only there was a guide.
