Scorpio

Scorpio The Mars and Mercury in Scorpio, easing into Sagittarius, war-like Mars, and mercurial Mercury? Opposite from those two, there’s weird old Uranus, loosely opposite as he slides from Gemini back into Taurus. It’s a discomfiting energy, not really all that bad, in and of itself, but unsettled, and there’s a certain kind of restlessness that accompanies this. Part of it is Mars, and part of it is Uranus, and part of it is the difference between a stable, fixed sign like Scorpio and the lesser, unstable mutable signs like Sagittarius and Gemini. The flavor of the energies present make for a chaotic, totally unpredictable kind of directionless Scorpio that seems unable to pick a single item. “This, and this, and this one, too.” That’s three; you could only have one. There is enough room, enough resources, enough cash to get one. Pick one. “But I want all three! Maybe four or more?” Pesky planets.

Sagittarius

Ever have a person finish your Sagittarius sentences for you? You start out to say something, then she jumps in and finishes what you were saying, maybe not exactly the way you were saying it, but close enough? Sometimes, this can be cute. On occasion, it is downright endearing. But over time, that finishing my thought before I’ve even arrived at it myself? I find that can be annoying. I’ll let it slide, for a while, but it is bothersome. Now, recall that sense, recreate how we — our Sagittarius selves — felt when someone were was finishing our every sentence. Recall that feeling, the sentiments.

Remember how it was cute the first three times, but the fourth, fifth and sixth time? Not so much? Almost, OK, at times, really annoying? Pause long enough to remember what that was like, someone else trying to finishing speaking for us, and how that wasn’t any fun, not after a few times. Recall that sentiment. Now, why would I want us to remember what that was like? We get a chance to talk over someone, and it is not a good idea. I know, we think it’s cute that we’re finishing their sentences. Sure. But remember how annoying that was for us? Once is OK. Twice, maybe. After that? Maybe not. Remember, it has happened to you, and we didn’t like it.

Capricorn

“Luck” is often defined as opportunity meets preparation. I’m good with that. But I’m Sagittarius, not Capricorn, and as such? I tend to be lucky more often than thoughtfully prepared. That’s me. I’m not Capricorn. Your experience with luck and preparation might vary, but there’s a point, in the next few days, when being thoughtfully prepared looks like a brilliant stroke of luck. Looks a lot like a brilliant stroke of Capricorn luck. Yes, let’s call it that. But is it really luck, the fates, the furies? The stars above? Or is it patient, patented (Capricorn) preparation? I tend to think the stars incline towards that latter, a patient, thoughtfully anticipated situation that comes up, and to average, non-Capricorn? It looks like luck.

“No, I was ready for that. My fishing buddy warned me.”

Aquarius

What is repetitive, and what is rote? What can be easily done with a simple “copy and paste?” I was wondering, as I have to copy 12 signs over and over. There are some days when just copying the whole list of 12 signs is easier than typing each one by hand, but then, there’s also this: typing each one by hand is sometimes faster. It’s a matter, and this is a simple example, please don’t point me to any efficiency software (AI) that is supposed to share my burden, no, that’s not it. What I was doing, what I’m suggesting, when is it faster to just re-type the same thing instead of a quick copy and paste? What carries. What doesn’t carry. It’s a matter of not reinventing a piece of material that you need, over and over, but then, maybe, is it quicker to just retype the stuff instead of digging out the old copy, selecting the parts you need, then pasting it over the new stuff? All depends. I can’t make the judgment call for each and every individual Aquarius, but I can suggest, some days, it’s just quicker to redo it yourself.

Pisces

I work with a variety of symbols. Animist, Judeo-Christian, Eastern Mysticism, just about anything if it works. I liked, at one time, being called a “spiritualist,” but even that doesn’t do it all justice. It’s the variety of symbols that matters to me. As this fall season, rush to the holidays, as the time starts to unfold? There’s a distinct set of symbols that applies, but in this very Pisces situation? Situations, maybe? Only employ one set of symbols. Either it’s a hastily drawn emblem on a napkin, or single a tarot card, or just one rune, but whatever it is? Stick to one set of symbols. One symbol, if possible. Getting all split up over more than one interpretation or more than one way of seeing this as an answer to a problem, or a further elucidation of answer to a posed hypothetical issue? More than one way divides the strength of the answer — and the solution. Stick to one set of symbols. One language. One way of thinking.

Aries

Administration is a difficult process. I try to streamline my processes as much as possible, and while I’m largely successful? There are still administrative tasks that are neither fun, nor engaging. In fact, I was saddled with one such job, trying desperately to make it easier, and the results were not getting me where I wanted. I did rewire an entire desktop setup, but that didn’t get me where I wanted it to get me. Tasks, goal, problems at hand, and then possible solutions? I kept after that single task, as only an Aries would understand, a singleness of purpose, a drive, and desire, to accomplish a specific goal. It’s the way we veer off from that goal, and then get realigned, and finally, pointed in the correct direction again. The correct information, the best action? Stay focused on that original goal, that singular destination.

Taurus

Welcome to my world, yet again. It’s a little taste of the sublime, the strange, the unaccounted for, the noises that go “Boo” in the dark. Spooky Halloween crap keeps happening in Taurus. Not the end of the world, as some would have you believe, but there’s a definite bend to matters at hand that some call, for lack of better phrasing? “Unworldly.” There is a short blast of energy, a quick heated discussion, a situation that you don’t like, but if you’re patient enough? It will resolve in your favor. If you’re not patient? This doesn’t end well, or it doesn’t end at all. You can keep it weird, if you want, but most of us would really like a little dose of “Normality,” however that looks.

Gemini

Times have changed, and the way we express ourselves has changed, in keeping with the change in times. I followed a youngster, clearly many years younger than me, online. There were frequent video vignettes, cross-topics, astrology, beauty, raising children, mom stuff, and entrepreneur showcase. I realized, after a while, that this is what I used to do, the excruciating minutiae of day-to-day ephemera, and I mirrored it out of an astrological lens. It was the day-to-day detail that mattered to me. The difference between what I used to do, as I was experimenting with content and content-delivery? I used blog motors and written text, whereas the current vogue in social media is quick-hit video, what appears to be off-the-cuff, but is probably scripted and rehearsed.

Gemini: what hasn’t changed? Source of the content, the minutiae of day-to-day. As Uranus exits, day-to-day is the source of the Gemini inspiration. Plus: answers to pressing questions.

Cancer

Just as a casual observation? I’ve noticed that Jupiter brings good luck when something, a planet or transit, when something activates Jupiter. Unless there’s an activating principle, I’m still toying with names and conventions, but until there’s an action on, for, or against Jupiter? He just sits there, all fat and happy, portending good cheer (but doing nothing.) If nothing happens, then nothing happens, and the trick is to get the inspiration from wherever, and then, apply it. Jupiter doesn’t get a lot of activation pressure in these next few days, not that there isn’t stuff happening, no, lots of activity, but this doesn’t impact the planet of good luck directly, therefore? To make use of this? Do something. Probably won’t work out like you want it to, but them doing nothing results in no gain whatsoever.

“Oh that? Yeah, I meant to do that.”

The Leo

As a couple of the little planets shift into Sagittarius, thank-you-very-much, there’s gradual sense of ease and comfort for The Leo. Operative expression? What to watch for? Careful phrasing on my part? “Gradual.” As much as I would like to make this work just like a light switch, and with a single flick of the wrist, everything is easier, better, brighter in The Leo Land? I can’t, and you, expecting it to just suddenly be all better? That would be an unrealistic expectation. Better, but only by degree, not a sudden shift.

Virgo

Growing up, well into my adult-aged life, I was accused of not thinking a situation through, at least, not to the logical conclusion. “If I do this, then nothing bad will happen.” Unless, of course, notes a typical Virgo, “Unless, of course, if this part fails, or someone declines to fulfill his or her obligations, or some other team member lets you down…” Much as I dislike the use of the ellipses? Every good Virgo knows exactly what kind of catastrophe is implied. But factoring in the location of Neptune within these Virgo dealings, we have to allow for a blind spot. That blind spot, it’s much like my younger self, “Did you think this all the way through to the logical conclusion?” I’m warning you, Virgo dear, just a casual look at the charts? Think it all the way through, not stopping at the “What could go wrong” part.

Libra

My simplest way to communicate this next week’s energies? Write it down on a post-it note1. I graduated to reading glasses decades distant, so I’m used to the idea that I need something to help me see the fine print. To best accommodate myself and the eyesight issue? I use a felt marker, a sharpie, on a single post-it note, and I do so without wearing my reading glasses. What this does, in turn, when I’m in the store and need to remember what was that one item I was looking for, that I wrote down? I can read it without fishing around for my readers. There are two integral parts to this trick. The first is obvious, single note per page, and do so without the assistance of the reading glasses so when I have to read it in the store? I can just glance down, and it’s clear. But more important? It’s about those silly post-it notes. Universal, just about everywhere, and the idea of making a note to oneself so we don’t forget something? Just the act of writing it down, that usually works, and factor in the Uranus element of surprise? You still have a written record of it, someplace.

“Here, let me just write that down.”

  1. One of the greatest lies we tell ourselves? “I don’t need to write that down; I’ll remember it.”
