Horoscopes for 12-30-2025
“Let it work,
For ’tis the sport to have the enginer
Hoist with his own petar, an’t shall go hard
But I will delve one yard below their mines,
And blow them at the moon.”

Horoscopes for 12-30-2025
Vaticinium ex eventu (Prophesy from the event).
Aries
While I can’t find it at the moment, and maybe I’ll link to it if I can locate the original, but some years back, decade or more, maybe? Dig through the archives? Anyway, the time I was thinking about was a personal challenge wherein the first line of one sign’s horoscope was the last line of the preceding sign’s horoscope. Tied it all together in one, long, continuum. A couple of observant readers caught the trickery, noted it, and suggested it proved that the signs, the locations of the planets, and all of this is all tied to each other. Which is more important than normal, in the coming days, weeks, and months for Aries: everything is connected. The imagery used by connecting one sign to the next? Then also linking it back to the sign before it? All connected. It’s all stacked up next to each other. When looking at the year ahead, there are numerous events, and they echo off past events in recent Aries memory, as well as bounce forward to the next few days, next few weeks, and even the next few years. Aries: it’s all connected. Look ahead. Look behind. Then look ahead again.
Taurus
All this requires? All it takes to succeed in the next year? A simple shift in mindset. The oldest of rubs, “Is the glass half empty or half full?” The oldest of metaphors, and as such, the way it looks at the moment? The glass is nearly empty and there is no hope, as we are on the verge of a drought like we’ve never seen before. A simple shift in that mindset will help move gentle Taurus forward. Be nice to get a running start at the year, and I doubt that will happen, but there are some subtle opportunities if you look, if you’re willing to perceive that the glass might be half full instead of half-empty. All this requires is a simple shift in the Taurus mindset. It’s all about how you look at the problem.
Gemini
I stumbled across an online meme, think that was the original source for me, but the idea resonated. Looking ahead by looking backwards? In itself a valuable Gemini trait, but casting a long eye behind you then switching to a forward view? What are the markers one uses for success? What defines when you’ve won? What tells you that it is a winner? What is the measuring stick one should use, moving forward, looking at the days, weeks, and months ahead? For Gemini?
“The secret to a successful life is to waste time in ways one enjoys the most.”
Cancer
One quickly-verified astrological theory holds that the natal Mercury is the source of one’s style of communication. In a reading, though, I’ve found it’s a little more delicate than just the sign for the planet. There’s house and relative location, I found that all plays a part, more of a slippery, sliding scale than a single indicator. But still, Mercury is the main idea about how we communicate. What the year ahead holds for the Moon Children, the sign of the crab, Cancer? We see a shift in methods, means, and styles of communication. It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. Or whatever method of communication you tend to employ? Consider that it shifts. Message? Your message, as some would say, “The song remains the same,” but the way you sing it? That’s going to change.
The Leo

Bedrock foundation elements remain unchanged. Looking ahead? The core elements remain the same. The foundation, the material that The Leo is built upon, that stays steadfast. The rest is fickle, and subject to interpretations. Recalling a certain very Leo–like situation? The surface layer changed. It was paint, the color on the sample chip and the color that went up on the wall were apparently different. The second sample looked even better in the paint store, but when applied to wall? Again, it didn’t look like it was supposed to. Took three, maybe four tries to get the color right. The shade, the texture — I’m no interior designer — I don’t know. But looking ahead at the location of the planets? Couple of up and coming changes, and if the first try doesn’t work out like you thought it would look? Don’t be afraid to layer on another coat of paint.
Virgo

I tend to see “transformational cycles” — like the future eclipse season — as working along the lines of three-fold changes. The first pass is to tear everything down that needs to be rent asunder. The second pass is to clean out the wound, or to some? Site preparation, the grading, leveling, rebuilding the foundation elements. Finally, there’s a third pass, the rewards for enduring the first two, and there’s the critical bit? Did you do the right thing during the first two passes? Did you listen to the subtle echoes and gentle susurrations suggesting the most correct course of action? Did you read the instructions, and then, did you follow those instructions, in order? The pattern gets set in place, this next week, but coming up for the year ahead? There’s a larger pattern of change, and then, thankfully you’re a good Virgo, that pattern of change gets plied with some updates, edits, and directional discourse.
Libra

It’s a tough lesson, and one that I seem to have to learn over and over. The way it goes, someone, say, a peer suggests a certain course of action. Two more chime in, “I’d like that, too!” There’s a high note of enthusiasm, joyful rejoinders, and sense of community, as “we are all going to do this together!” Get the idea, heard it before? We’re all for this new course of action, this new direction, this improved way to get things done, and then? Someone drops out. Then the other, and we’re stuck, no “we,” a single Libra is left holding the reins, left with the bag in hand, deserted to be left alone to finish the project. The trick is to not agree to a group project that looks like the others are merely vocal supporters but unwilling to participate in a real or meaningful manner. Differentiate between, “I can help with that, and “I will help with that.” Other people tend to be a more promissory than factual. Ask me; I’ll help. Yeah, I’ll help supervise.
Scorpio

One buddy, a spiritual giant in his own right, but not a Scorpio, that one buddy depends on “a rock on a string.” He uses a pendulum, just a chunk of crystal attached to a short piece of jewelry chain, to find out if he should take some action. “I consulted the ‘rock on a string’ to know for sure.” The pendulum either said yes or no, and that was his lead to either go, not go, buy, hold, I don’t know, whatever it was that he did, or didn’t, do. The point is, he has an outside verification — like two-factor sign-in verification? He has an outside way to see if he should, or shouldn’t, whatever it is. Technically, it’s called “dowsing,” but I like the term, “rock on the string,” as in, “consult the rock on the string.” Scorpio: this next year depends on outside ways to check, fact-check, verify, consult, or otherwise seek an outside opinion before taking action. For my buddy, his “rock on a string” works great, and in this case, for Scorpio? It’s a really good example.
Sagittarius

I’ve watched this, and noted it, most of my professional life. Over the recent years, it’s gotten even more pronounced, wherein a large swath of consumers gets swayed by a seemingly charismatic individual. I think of this as the “Cult of Personality,” where the person is elevated to a higher status, for whatever reason. I’ve fallen sway to this, myself, there was a particular author, see him at book signings, odd appearances, and his professional persona was powerful, magnetic. There are two parts to this up and coming year, one of them is not falling into a cult, or similar type of organization that is based solely upon a “Cult of Personality.” But the converse side of that Sagittarius equation, what to watch for? We don’t want to try to rely on that ourselves. We are fun, gregarious, amusing, and loyal, at times, but no, we don’t belong leading a cult, no matter what they say. Do as I say: I don’t fall for a charismatic leader, and don’t become one.
Capricorn
This next year holds a larger than usual degree of confusion. The real world, the hard, cold, frequently inhospitable places where we are forced to inhabit? That odious world that is hindered with boobytraps at every corner, toil, trouble, constant caustic crap? Let’s swap all that out for place of beauty, comfort, joy, and happiness. We both know that neither one of those polar extremes is the real picture because reality, as such, falls someplace in between those two, pure bliss and utter destruction. Herein is the source of the Capricorn consternation: what is real, and what isn’t real, but seemed like a good idea at the time? Or seemed like a logical conclusion in that moment? Realize, in the coming year, highlighted this next week, but in the coming year? It might become difficult to discern what’s real, and what’s just clever marketing.
Aquarius
Connect your “spiritual pathway” — how so ever you want to define that — to your, no, tie it to physical actions. Connect the spiritual realm with the real world. Get those two elements of the Aquarius life connected by some action. We’re looking for an anchor point, really, not immediately, but in the near future, a way to connect whatever that spiritual pathway is, tie that to an action, a product, or ritual. Whatever it is? Make it comfortable for yourself. But connect the dots, connect the beliefs, and connect all of that “woo-woo” stuff to concrete substances. For some, this is church, simplest format. For others, this is sacred spaces, and for some of us, this is a meditative technique. Could be as simple as a good luck charm. Looking up ahead, the “Chinese new year” is the target date to implement this solidified version of something. Along those lines, I take an envelope out of my wallet, pull out the old dollar bill, fold a new one into the envelope, and hope for continued success. Simple gesture, concrete action, ties the metaphysical world to a spare dollar I carry with me. Connect the Aquarius spirit world with the Aquarius real world.
Pisces
Everything changes. It doesn’t happen overnight. It doesn’t happen right away, but gradually, and there have been hints from the past year, but gradually, everything changes. There is a new dawn coming in Pisces. Or, there is a new dawn that will gradually arise over Pisces. Or there’s a fresh birth, a new chance, rebirth, regenerations, all better, all new, faster, stronger, smarter. “But we’ve never seen it like this before!” Ah, that’s where the hypothesis falls apart — we have seen this before. It’s not new. It might be different dressing, but we’ve seen this kind of energy before, and while it appear unfounded? It’s not all new. Pause, assess, then plot. If that first course doesn’t work out, there’s always a secondary option to pursue. Even tertiary if need be. There are no absolutes in the next year, not for Pisces.
